Since the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic at the beginning of 2020, there were shortages of supplies for personal protective medical equipment, particularly medical face masks worldwide. Besides, there were many sub-standard face masks found in most countries.

The Hong Kong Government encourages local enterprises to set up local production lines of face masks in early 2020. The pharmaceutical manufacturers employ cleanrooms must meet ISO 14644-1 Cleanroom Standards ISO Level 8 for granting of licenses.

Suckow & Fischer was invited to design and supply our Air-Tight Cleanroom Ceiling system for the cleanroom at production, anteroom and air-shower area of One Mask Ltd., where the cleanroom is located at an old industrial building with limited ceiling level and concrete beams.

We are pleased that this Cleanroom project passed ISO 14644-1 Cleanroom Standards ISO Level 7 (One Class higher than the required regulation) and we had managed to overcome the building structural constraints within weeks for completion of the project. The surface of ceiling panels and exposed components are coated with value-added function of life-time anti-bacteria coating which is not compulsory for cleanroom standards.
